Bollywood actor Aamir Khan participated in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 for the first time on Sunday, joining thousands of runners on the city’s iconic streets. The event marked his maiden appearance at one of India’s largest marathon events, which this year featured wide participation from across age groups and backgrounds.
Speaking to the media after the run, Aamir praised the spirit and enthusiasm of Mumbai and its runners, calling the atmosphere “amazing” and expressing how deeply moved he was by the collective energy of the event.
The actor ran alongside loved ones — including his ex-wife Kiran Rao and daughter Ira Khan — and highlighted how the vibrant participation of athletes, recreational runners and supporters made the experience special. He said the excitement he witnessed inspires him to make the marathon an annual tradition.
The 21st edition of the marathon featured more than 69,000 participants and continues to be celebrated as a showcase of resilience, fitness and community unity in India’s financial capital.
